Myrtie E. Farmer, 85, of Morristown, passed away Sunday, December 16, 2012 at Morristown Manor in Morristown.
She was born February 19, 1927 in Taylor County, Kentucky, to James Pierce and Rachael Ermin (Caulk) Farmer.
Ms. Farmer is survived by several cousins including, Dwain and Joyce Farmer of Campbellsville, Kentucky and Virginia Longstreet of Franklin; close friends, Anna Linville of Shelbyville and Don and Paula McDaniel of St. Paul.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and a sister, Vida Ermin Farmer.
Myrtie moved to Morristown from Taylor County, Kentucky in 1950.
She enjoyed crocheting, knitting and quilting.
Ms. Farmer attended First Methodist Church in Morristown and attended Primetime at the First Christian Church in Morristown.
Visitation will be from 11 am to 1 pm, Thursday, December 20, 2012 at Freeman Family Funeral Homes and Crematory, Frazier Chapel, 124 E. North St. in Morristown.
Funeral services will be at 1 p.m., Thursday at the funeral home, with Pastor Fred Hickman officiating.
Interment will be in Asbury Cemetery.
