Myrtle Louise Browning

May 10, 1943 — March 29, 2013

Myrtle “Louise” Browning, 69, of Shelbyville, passed away Friday, March 29, 2013 at Major Hospital. She was born May 10, 1943, in Shelbyville. Louise was the daughter of Carl and Hester (Chadwick) Kendall. Survivors include her son, James (wife, Leanna) Browning of Shelbyville; brothers, Don (wife, Barb) Kendall of Shelbyville and David (wife, Anita) Kendall of Greensburg; sisters, Janet (husband, Dale) Waters of Greensburg and Carolyn (husband, Mario) Vasquez of Lebanon; grandsons, Wyatt Browning and Clayton Browning; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents. Louise graduated from Jac-Cen-Del High School in 1961. She retired in 2006, as a cook at Major Hospital, after 34 years of service. Mrs. Browning attended Town and Country Christian Church. She enjoyed working in her flowers, sewing and visiting with her friends and family on the telephone. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, April 2, 2013 at Freeman Family Funeral Homes and Crematory, Carmony-Ewing Chapel, 819 S. Harrison St. Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, April 3, 2013 at the funeral home, with Kent Nolley and Buffy Powers officiating. Interment will be in South Park Cemetery in Greensburg. Memorial contributions may be made to the Cancer Association of Shelby County, P.O. Box 844, Shelbyville, Indiana 46176.
