Nancy Catherine (Ivie) Couch, 77, of Franklin, formerly of Shelbyville, passed away Wednesday, December 30, 2015 at the Indiana Masonic Home in Franklin.
She was born February 5, 1938, in Shelbyville, the daughter of Frank and WyNona (Talbert) Ivie.
Nancy is survived by her son, Dennis Wayne Lingenfelter and wife, Loryann, of Madison, Alabama; daughters, Terrie May McAhren and husband, Michael, of Shelbyville, Cathy Fay Davis and husband, Tim, of Lebanon, Tammy Rene’ Parsons of Muncie, and Paula Roxanne Davis and husband, Matt, of Whitestown; brother, John Herbert “Herbie” Ivie and wife, Leah, of Anderson, California; brother-in-law, Barry Sears of Lakeland, Florida; grandchildren, Asean Lingenfelter and wife, Janis, Ian Lingenfelter, Chantel McAhren, Crystal Rakes and husband, David, Calah McAhren, Kara Shepherd and husband, Kris, Fabian Smith, Douglas Smith, Destiny Strange, Bailey Gruwell, Taylor Davis and Cherish Davis; great-grandchildren, Jayce Klingler, Cade Klingler, Landry Shepherd, Sofia Davis and Isaac Franklin; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Norman D. Ivie and Frank “David” Ivie; and a sister, May Rose “Rosie” Sears.
Nancy attended the Indiana Masonic Home Chapel.
She enjoyed sewing and quilting. She was a member of Stitchin’ Sisters quilting group and they made many quilts for veterans and other groups.
Nancy loved her dogs, P.J. and Kia.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, January 2, 2016 at Freeman Family Funeral Homes and Crematory, Carmony-Ewing Chapel, 819 S. Harrison St. in Shelbyville.
Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
Interment will be at Flat Rock Cemetery.
