Nellie Eunice Goode, 87, of Morristown passed away Tuesday, April 27, 2010 at Hancock Regional Hospital in Greenfield. Born January 1, 1923 in Adair County, Kentucky, she was the daughter of Benjamin C. and Maude M. (Price) Taylor. She married James "Clarence" Goode on November 11, 1939, and he preceded her in death on December 31, 1996. Survivors include her children, Terry (wife, Robbin) Goode of Fountaintown, Leetta (husband, William) Hunter of New Palestine, Margie (husband, Kim) Clark of Morristown and Vickie (husband, Greg) Ramsey of Charlottesville; sisters, Reable Scott of Alma, Arkansas and Opal Thompson of Liberty, Kentucky; grandchildren, Heather Fisher, Brian Hunter, Cheryl White, Jeff Clark, Bob Clark and Danny Ramsey; and 11 great-grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by her parents; son, Nelson Goode; one brother; four sisters; and one great-granddaughter. Mrs. Goode moved to the Morristown area in 1962 from Rush County. She was a homemaker and baby sat in Morristown. Mrs. Goode was a member of Barnetts Creek United Methodist Church, Barnetts Creek, Kentucky. She loved gardening, cooking and sewing and enjoyed being with her family. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Freeman Family Funeral Homes and Crematory, Frazier Chapel, 124 E. North St. in Morristown. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Friday at the funeral home, with Pastor Gwen Pew and Rev. Michael Smith officiating. Interment will be in Asbury Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Hancock County Cancer Association or Morristown's Imagination Library, in care of Blue River Community Foundation, 54 W. Broadway St., Suite 1, Shelbyville, Indiana 46176.
