Nicole Rachelle “Niki” (Keil) Stewart, 37, of St. Paul passed away Thursday, February 14, 2013 at Decatur Memorial Hospital in Greensburg.
She was born July 23, 1975, in Cincinnati, Ohio, to Carole (Wilking) Keil and Charles Keil. On November 26, 2004, she became the wonderful wife and best friend of Jeb Stewart, and he survives.
Other survivors include her mother of Cincinnati; father of South Bend; her daughters, Macie Stewart and Taylor Stewart of St. Paul; son, Eli Stewart of St. Paul; she was the baby sister of Chuck (wife, Jennifer) Keil of Alexandria, Virginia and Greg Keil of Washington, D. C.; father-in-law and mother-in-law, James and Susan Stewart of Waldron; and brother-in-law, Jesse Stewart of St. Paul.
Niki graduated from Penn High School in Mishawka in 1993. In 1998 she graduated from Indiana University Kelly School of Business with a finance degree.
She had been employed at Knauf Insulation for the past nine years, as the manager of pricing administration.
Niki enjoyed watching and attending Colts games. She was an avid diehard Notre Dame football fan.
She liked to spend time outdoors boating on the Ohio, sitting by the pool at home or vacationing in Florida.
Niki had an easy going magnetic personality; she made friends easily with her ever caring ways and calming effect on others.
She was a very dedicated wife, mother, daughter and sister. She always had time for her children and loved spending time with them and her family.
She also leaves behind her dog, Rueben.
Visitation will be from 2 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, February 20, 2013 at Freeman Family Funeral Homes and Crematory, Carmony-Ewing Chapel, 819 S. Harrison St. and from 10 to 11 a.m. Thursday, February 21, 2013 at the funeral home.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, at the funeral home.
Interment will be in VanPelt Cemetery.
