Nola L. Harrell, 93, of Mt. Auburn, passed away, Monday, April 11, 2016 at Springhurst Health Campus in Greenfield.
She was born June 25, 1922, in Shelby County, the daughter of Ora J. and Anna (Baker) McCarty. On August 30, 1941, she married Clifford R. Harrell, and he preceded her in death on February 14, 2000.
Nola is survived by her daughter, Dianna Mohr of Mt. Auburn; sons, Keith Harrell and wife, Elisa, of El Paso, Texas, and Bret Harrell of Mt. Auburn; granddaughters, Belinda Head and husband, Marvin, April McNicholas and husband, Robert, Adrienne Pope, and Hollie Paul and husband, Richard; and seven great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and a brother, Lowell McCarty.
Nola was a homemaker.
She was a member of the “Foxy Ladies Red Hat Club”.
Nola enjoyed her monthly breakfasts with her cousins.
Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Saturday, April 16, 2016 at Freeman Family Funeral Homes and Crematory, Carmony-Ewing Chapel, 819 S. Harrison St. in Shelbyville.
Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home, with Rev. Bryan Trotter officiating.
Interment will be at Mt. Auburn Cemetery in Shelby County.
