Norman Willey, 68, of Fairland passed away Thursday, August 30, 2007, at his home.
Born October 27, 1938, in Franklin, he was the son of Harvey and Pauline (Mullinex) Willey. He married Shirley S. Faye on June 20, 1975, and she survives.
Other survivors include his son, Steve (wife, Janet) Willey of Franklin, Tenn.; daughter Julie (husband, Melvin) Denmon of Atlanta, GA; stepson, Ken (wife, Barbara)Burton of Columbia, KY; brother Gary Willey of Franklin; sister, Shirley (husband, Bill) Jones of Greenwood; grandchildren, Hanna Rose Willey, Brandie Johnson and Trevor Joyce; and stepgrandchildren, Bruce Parish, Krystal Parish, Natasha Burton and Riley Burton.
He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Donald Willey.
Mr. Willey had been employed at General Electric and Wellman Thermal Systems for 42 years, retireing in 2001 as manager of maintenance and facilities. He also was a leather carver.
He graduated from Franklin High School.
Mr. Willey was a member of Central Indiana Leather Crafter's Guild and GoldWing Road Riders Association.
A memorial service will be at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at Freeman Family Funeral Home, Carmony-Ewing Chapel, 819 S. Harrison Street with the Rev. Robert Campbell officiating.
