Patricia A. Pogue, 68, of Shelbyville passed away Tuesday, March 9, 2021, at her home.
She was born February 16, 1953, in White Salmon, Washington, the daughter of Carrol and Mary Lou (Stautsenberg) Keihn. On February 21, 1969, she married David Pogue, and he preceded her in death on August 25, 2008.
Patricia is survived by her son, David Lee Pogue II and wife, Chrissy, of Shelbyville; daughters, Marian Carol “Mary” Fuchs and husband, Matt, of Shelbyville, and JoAnn Sheryl Ferguson and husband, Joey, of Lutz, Florida. She also leaves behind her Boston Terrier Mix, Rainey; sisters, Carolyn McReynolds and husband, Michael, and Barbara Zavala, both of Greensburg; brother, Kenny Keihn of Shelbyville; eight grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; one step-great-grandchild; and several nieces and nephews including her friend, nephew and caregiver, Curtis Caldwell of Shelbyville.
In addition to David, Patricia was preceded in death by her parents.
Patricia attended Waldron High School and California College for health sciences for respiratory training. She retired in 1996, as a respiratory technician at the Children’s Center in Shelbyville. Patricia had also worked as a Qualified Medical Assistant (QMA) for numerous years at Waldron Health and Rehabilitation.
She enjoyed teaching her love of art to her grandchildren and others, as well as, refinishing furniture, crafting and sewing.
Patricia loved her family and enjoyed the time she spent creating memories with them.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to noon, Thursday, March 11, 2021, at Freeman Family Funeral Homes and Crematory, Carmony-Ewing Chapel, 819 S. Harrison St. in Shelbyville.
Funeral services will be at noon, Thursday at the funeral home.
