Patricia May Goforth-Huff, 76, of Fountaintown passed away Monday, July 30, 2018 at Greenfield Healthcare Center in Greenfield.
She was born October 20, 1941, in Somerset, Kentucky, the daughter of Clarence and Edith (Alexander) Goforth.
Patricia is survived by her son, Larry E. John Jr. and wife, Jamouitee “Jessie”, of Manilla; daughters, Sharon “Sheri” Yarling and husband, Chris, of Fountaintown, and Brenda Sue Seaborn of Gwynneville; brother, Randy Goforth of Franklin; grandchildren, Zach Crisman and wife, Rachel, of Morristown, Tabitha Crisman, Katherine “Katie” John, and Kiefer John and wife, Angel, all of Shelbyville, and Colt Andry of Gwynneville; step-grandchildren, Lisa Altringer and husband, Jay, of Grimes, Iowa, and Lindsay Yarling of Fairland; great-grandchildren, Marley Ayers, and Ryan, Luke and Paisley Crisman; step-great-granddaughter, Grace Altringer; and two nieces.
She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Jeffery W. John; brothers, Allen Goforth, David Goforth and Bobby Goforth; and a nephew.
Patricia’s family lived in Somerset until 1957, and then moved to Shelbyville. In 1997, she moved to Missouri returning home in 2017 to be with her family. She attended Shelbyville High School and First Church of the Nazarene in Shelbyville.
Patricia was a member of the Springfield, Missouri Lions Club.
She loved to do crafting, especially crocheting.
Patricia loved her family and enjoyed babysitting her grandchildren.
A gathering of friends will be from 11 a.m. to noon, Saturday, August 4, 2018 at the First Church of the Nazarene, 2315 S. Riley Highway in Shelbyville.
A Celebration of Patricia’s life will be at noon Saturday at the church, with Rev. John Wessic officiating.
Inurnment will be at a later date.
