Patsy M. Drake, 86, of Shelbyville, passed away Tuesday, January 10, 2017 at her residence at McKay Manor.
She was born September 4, 1930 in Shelbyville, the daughter of Roy and Martha (Shutt) Pile. On November 4, 1950, she married Richard Drake, and he preceded her in death on October 25, 2009.
Patsy is survived by her sons, R. Douglas Drake and wife, Carmen, of Shelbyville, and Paul Drake and wife, Dayla, of Batesville; daughter, Denise Hobbs and husband, Mike, of Destin, Florida; brother, Robert Pile of Edinburgh; 11 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by her parents; and infant daughter, Millie Lynn Drake; brothers, Oral Pile and Charles Pile; sister, Marybelle Davies.
Patsy was a member of the Marietta United Methodist Church.
She graduated from Mt. Auburn High School and attended Franklin College.
Patsy was also a member of the Norristown Order of Eastern Star.
She enjoyed reading and playing bingo and euchre.
Patsy was an awesome cook and loved cooking for her family.
She attended many sporting events for her children and grandchildren.
Visitation will be 5 to 7 p.m. Friday, January 13, 2017 at Freeman Family Funeral Homes and Crematory, Carmony-Ewing Chapel, 819 S. Harrison St. in Shelbyville.
Funeral services will be at 7 p.m. Friday at the funeral home, with Rev. Robert Campbell officiating.
Inurnment will be at Miller Cemetery in Shelby County.
