Paul C. Thrasher, Jr., 80, of Tucson, Arizona, passed away Friday, January 21, 2011 in Tucson.
Born June 5, 1930, he was the son of Paul H. and Nellie M. (Strickler) Thrasher.
Survivors include two children; three stepchildren; six grandchildren; a great-grandchild; close friends, Helen Thrasher and Roger Schueler; and cousins, Catherine Sandefur, Jim King, Bob King and Bill King.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Mr. Thrasher graduated from Shelbyville High School in 1948, where he was Lord Mayor of the May Festival.
He attended DePauw University from 1948 to 1949 and Indiana University from 1949 to 1952.
Mr. Thrasher was a licensed real estate broker since 1952 and had formerly worked for Arvin Industries in Columbus, Blazer Industries in Seymour as plant manager and retired in 1991 as vice president of real estate from Lee's Inns of America Inc.
He was a member of St. Columbia Catholic Parrish in Columbus, Sigma Alpha Epsilon Fraternity, Lions Club of Columbus, Rotary International of Shelbyville, and Benevolent and Protective Order of the Elks No. 521 in Columbus, where he was a life member.
Burial will be at 1 pm Friday, January 28, 2011 in St. Joseph Cemetery in Shelbyville.
