Paul William Crosby

Paul William Crosby, 91, of Shelbyville, passed away Tuesday, September 19, 2023, at MHP Medical Center in Shelbyville.

He was born April 11, 1932, in Shelbyville, the son of Carl and Bessie (Brattain) Crosby.  On June 12, 1954, he married his wife of 69 years, Betty Jean Jackson, and she survives.

In addition to Betty, Paul is survived by his daughters, Marsha Harber and husband, Bernard, of Ossian, and Jeannie Crosby Foley and fiance’, Bryan Harrell, of Shelbyville; son, Jeff Crosby and wife, Glenda, of Mt. Holly, North Carolina; sister, Linda Wise and husband, Richard, of Shelbyville; eight grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Bob Crosby, Tom Crosby, Jack “Thumper” Crosby and Joe Crosby; and sister, Virginia Porter.

Paul graduated from Shelbyville High School.

He retired from TRW Cinch, with over 30 years of service.

Paul was formerly a member of the Aerie Eagles Lodge No. 766.

He enjoyed woodworking and loved donuts.

Paul also enjoyed watching NASCAR, Indianapolis Colts, IU basketball and old cowboy shows.

Services have been entrusted to Freeman Family Funeral Homes, 819 S. Harrison St. in Shelbyville.
