Paul E. Taylor, 84, of Shelbyville passed away Thursday, September 17, 2009 at Major Hopsital.
Born March 29, 1925, in Shelby County, he was the son of Virgil and Maggie (John) Taylor.
Survivors include his sons, Daniel Taylor of Shelbyville, Ricky Taylor of Indianapolis, and Patrick (wife, Mary) Taylor of New Palestine; daughters, Geraldine (husband, James) Buehler of Olathe, Kansas and Rebecca (husband, David) Penniston of Berwyn, Pennsylvania; grandchildren, Thomas, Matthew, Kevin, Erik, Benjamin and Amber; great-granddaughter, Madison; and special friends, Lillian Theobald and Ella Catherine Meltzer.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Mr. Taylor lived in or around Shelby County all of his life.
He had been a farmer and auto mechanic. He also had performed maintenance on factory machinery and was a laboratory technician for KCL.
Mr. Taylor graduated from Manilla High School in 1943.
He liked to build items with both wood and metal. He enjoyed electrical work and selling produce at his produce market.
Visitation will be from 2 to 6 p.m. Sunday at Freeman Family Funeral Homes and Crematory, Carmony-Ewing Chapel, 819 S. Harrison St.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at the funeral home.
Interment will be in Forest Hill Cemetery.
