Paul Roger Crafton, 60, of Shelbyville passed away Thursday, October 2, 2008, at Major Hospital.
Born October 17, 1947, in Shelbyville, he was the son of Bernard Junior Crafton and Patricia A. (Gallagher) Leffler. He married Carolyn M. Shelton on November 12, 1966, and she survives.
Other survivors include his daughter, Tammy (husband, Todd) Crenshaw of Morristown; sons, Chris (wife, J.J.) Crafton of Waldron and Bernard (wife, Kathryn) Crafton of Shelbyville; sister, Rose Marie (husband, Jon) Wurtzbaugh; and grandchildren, Janna Carter, Cameron Crenshaw, Kirk Crafton, Zachary Crafton, Shane Mason and Karah Mason.
He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Michael Crafton.
Mr. Crafton retired from General Motors Allison Division in 1999, after 32 years of service. After retiring, he worked at Williams Industries for four years and then at FLW in Hope.
He served as a Shelbyville Reserve Police Officer from 1977 to 1987.
Mr. Crafton graduated from Waldron High School in 1965.
He was a lifetime member of the Single Action Shooting Society, Big Rock Chapter of Lexington, Indiana; and the National Rifle Association.
Visitation will be from 2 to 6 p.m. Saturday at Freeman Family Funeral Homes, Carmony-Ewing Harrison Street Chapel, 819 S. Harrison St.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Mark Dodd officiating.
Interment will be in Pleasant Grove Cemetery.
