Paul Vincent Nahre

Paul Vincent Nahre, 61, of Shelbyville, passed away Monday, October 13, 2014 at Franciscan St. Francis Health in Greenwood. He was born November 4, 1951, in Muncie, the son of Alvin and Violet (Rawlings) Nahre. He married Beth Collins on September 2, 1972, and she survives. Other survivors include his daughter, Sarah Stults and husband, Michael, of Muncie; brothers, David Nahre and wife, Karen, John Nahre and wife, Carroll and Tom Nahre and wife, Brenda, all of Muncie; grandchildren, Julia and Jonah; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents. Paul graduated from Burris High School in Muncie in 1970, and attended Ball State University. He was safety director for American Red Ball Transit Company for over 25 years, retiring in 2007. Paul enjoyed computers, astronomy and Ball State football. He and Beth enjoyed nightly drives throughout Shelby County, looking at the beautiful scenery. Paul also leaves behind his dog, Pepper. A gathering of friends will be from 12:00 until 2:00 p.m. Saturday, October 18th at Garden View Funeral Home. The memorial service for Paul will begin at 2:00 p.m. with Pastor Tom Parsons. Memorial contributions may be made to the donor's choice of charity. Online condolences may be made at www.gardenviewfuneralhome.com. Local services were entrusted to Freeman Family Funeral Homes and Crematory, 819 S. Harrison St. in Shelbyville.
