Pauline G. Callahan, 95, of Shelbyville passed away Wednesday, November 14, 2007 at Ashford Place Health Campus.
Born October 15, 1912, in Shelbyville, she was the daughter of Raymond and Nell (Naylor) Yarling. She married Glen Callahan on June 1, 1932, and he preceded her in death on November 21, 1981.
Survivors include her son, Kent (wife, Sharon) Callahan of Shelbyville; daughters-in-law, Bonnie Callahan and Jerri (husband, Gus) Callahan-Turner, both of Shelbyville; grandchildren, Carey Callahan, Brent Callahan, Brian Callahan, Mark Callahan, Sannon Mynatt, Carmen Farnsley, Christal Culp, Lisa Reynolds, Dana Montgomery, Amy Dennison, Lora Curry; 23 great-grandchildren; five stepgreat-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
She also was preceded in death by her parents; sons, Timothy Wayne Callahan, Larry L. Callahan and Albert Ray "Al" Callahan; daughter-in-law Wanda (Blackburn) Callahan; brother, Michael Yarling; and great-grandson, Sean Timothy Callahan.
Mrs. Callahan was a homemaker and farm wife.
She had been a volunteer at Major Hospital.
Mrs. Callahan graduated from Waldron High School in 1930.
She was a member of Zion United Church of Christ, where she was a member of the women's guild and a Bible study group.
Visitation will be from 10 to 11 a.m. Saturday at Zion United Church of Christ, 7025 E. 100 N.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at the church, with the Rev. Dr. Mary Lundgren officiating.
Burial will be in Zion Cemetery in Shelby County.
