Pearl "Cindy" Brock Crowley, 71, of Fairland, passed away Wednesday, December 26, 2007, at her home.
Born December 31, 1935, in Houghton Lake, Michigan, she was the daughter of Harvey E. and Pearl (Howe) Chase. She married Clarence Brock on June 5, 1954, and he preceded her in death on December 14, 1997. She married James O. Crowley on December 31, 2004, and he survives.
Other survivors include daughters, Rebecca (husband, Bruce) Smith of Fairland and Cammie (husband, Scott) Ewart of Mooresville; stepdaughters Colleen Henson of Pleasant View and Maureen Melnick of Chicago; brothers, Harvey Chase of Ypsilanti, Mich., and Edward Chase of Cadillac, Mich,; sister, Louise Conners of Negaunee, Mich.; eight grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
She also was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Clarence Steven Brock on February 6, 1977; a sister Clara Danford; and brothers, Walter Chase and Evert Chase.
Mrs. Crowley worked at American United Life Insurance from March 5, 1974 until retiring in 1995.
She was a member of the Sugar Creek Lodge No. 279 Order of the Eastern Star, the Brookfield Baptist Church since 1963 and the American Baptist Women's group at the church.
She was an active bowler and a member of the Red Hat Society.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday, with an Eastern Star service at 7:30 p.m., at the Brookfield Baptist Church, 8635 W. 800 N in Fairland.
Funeral services will be at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at the church, with the Rev. David R. Barrett officiating.
Interment will be in Acton Cemetery, in Acton.
