Peggy Ann Breece, 84, of Shelbyville, passed away Saturday, October 31, 2015 at Kindred Hospital South in Greenwood.
She was born August 8, 1931, in Shelbyville, the daughter of Harland and Evelyn (Daniels) Yarber. She married Harold Eugene Breece on February 14, 1975, and he preceded her in death in 1987.
Peggy is survived by her daughter, Tina Davis of Lancaster, Ohio; granddaughter, Lindsay Gibson, of Vancouver, British Columbia; great-granddaughters, Serafina and Aslyn; Christy Whitehurst of Franklin Tennessee, who was like a daughter to her; and a great friend, Jim Thieman of Plainfield.
She was also preceded in death by her parents.
Peggy graduated from Shelbyville High School in 1949.
She was a member of Trinity Methodist Church.
Peggy was a phlebotomist in Florida and Indiana, retiring in 1998 from Kendrick (St. Francis) in Mooresville, with 10 years of service.
She enjoyed being around people, while volunteering for Shelby County Hospice and the Cancer Association Thrift Store. She also gave of her time and money putting flowers around the World War II Memorial and front gate at Forest Hill Cemetery for over 16 years.
Peggy would like to thank all of her friends for making her life on this earth worthwhile.
Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, November 14, 2015 at Forest Hill Cemetery in Shelbyville, with Rev. Harvey Weaver officiating. She and her husband, Harold, will be interred at Forest Hill.
Services entrusted to Freeman Family Funeral Homes and Crematory, 819 S. Harrison St. in Shelbyville.
