Phyllis "Jeannie" Huber, 67, of Indianapolis, formerly of Shelbyville, passed away Friday, February, 11, 2011 at St. Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis. Born December 10, 1943, in Shelbyville, she was the daughter of Harold Alexander and Lillian (Snapp) Dawson. Survivors include her sons, Norman (wife, Cindy) Huber and Jason Huber, both of Shelbyville; daughter, Denise Hill of Indianapolis; sister, Donna (husband, Ronald) Brown of Shelbyville; brothers, Gary (wife, Debbie) Dawson of Shreveport, Louisiana, Joe (wife, Christine) Dawson of Carmel and John (wife, Randi) Dawson of Shelbyville; granddaughters, Rhianna Huber (husband, Christ) Harless, Rachel Huber and Natalie Hill; great-granddaughter, Lily Jean Harless; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents. Mrs. Huber had been an apartment complex manager for Emporium Properties for the last seven years. She attended Shelbyville High School. Mrs. Huber was a member of Touch of Class card club. She loved spending time with her children, grandchildren and family. She enjoyed cooking. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 pm, Monday, February 14, 2011 at Freeman Family Funeral Homes and Crematory, Carmony-Ewing Chapel, 819 S. Harrison St. in Shelbyville, Indiana. Memorial contributions may be made to American Cancer Society, 5635 West 96th Street, Suite 100, Indianapolis, Indiana 46278.
