Randall J. “Randy” Gindling, 57, of Fairland, passed away Monday, May 12, 2014 at IU Health Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis.
He was born June 15, 1956, in Indianapolis, the son of Carl Gindling and Theresa Flanagan. He married Christina “Chris” Means on July 23, 1994, and she survives.
Other survivors include his sons, Randall “Scott” Gindling and girlfriend, Hayley Challis of Beech Grove and Jeremiah W. Harpring and wife, Dominique of Indianapolis; brother, Doug Gindling and wife, Susan of Carmel; sisters, Sandy McIntosh of Fairland and Carla Pugh and husband, Chris of Indianapolis; grandchildren, Randall J. Gindling, Alyssa M. Gindling, Kylie D. Challis and Alyssa J. Challis; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Bill and Jayne Means of Rushville; and several nieces and nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews.
He was preceded in death by parents; daughter, Karissa Dawn Gindling; and brother-in-law, Dave McIntosh.
Randy graduated from Manual High School in Indianapolis in 1974.
He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church.
Randy was the General Manager at ACRA, he had been employed in car sales for approximately 25 years.
He enjoyed cars and antiques. He also enjoyed working in the yard and landscaping.
Randy always had a smile and loved life. He loved people and spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.
He also leaves behind his dog, Kruze D. Gindling “Boo”.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday, May 16, 2014 at Freeman Family Funeral Homes and Crematory, Carmony-Ewing Chapel, 819 S. Harrison St. in Shelbyville, with rosary recited at 3:30 p.m.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11:30 a.m. Saturday, May 17, 2014 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 125 E. Broadway St. in Shelbyville, with Father Aaron Pfaff officiating.
Interment will be in St. Joe Cemetery in Indianapolis.

Non-perishable food items may be brought to the funeral home.
