Raymond F. “Ray” Wisker, 82, of Shelbyville, passed away Thursday, August 4, 2016.
He was born July 2, 1934, in Shelby County, the son of Arthur and Alma (Weintraut) Wisker. On August 21, 1954 at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, he married his loving wife of 61 years, Marilyn (Arbuckle) Wisker, and she preceded in death on February 10, 2016.
Ray is survived by his daughters, Sharon Fennell of Lebanon, Tennessee, Alma Kissel and husband, John, of Eustis, Florida, Nancy Stephenson and husband, Steve, of Shelbyville, and Susan Pence and husband, Tim, of Edinburgh; a sister, Barbara Patterson of Greenwood; nine grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
He was also preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Kenneth Wisker; and sister, Charlene Routier.
Ray graduated from Waldron High School in 1952.
He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church.
Ray was the owner and operator of Wisker’s Painting and Wallpapering, Inc. from 1969 to 1996.
He was a tour director of Indiana Good Sam Camping club.
Visitation will be from 3 to 7 p.m. Monday, August 8, 2016 at Freeman Family Funeral Homes and Crematory, Carmony-Ewing Chapel, 819 S. Harrison St. in Shelbyville, with the rosary recited at 2:30 p.m.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday, August 9, 2016 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 125 E. Broadway St. in Shelbyville, with Father Martin Rodriguez officiating.
Interment will be at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery in Shelbyville.
