Raymond L. Anderson, 60, of Shelbyville passed away Sunday, February 7, 2010 at his home. Born November 27, 1949 in Rushville, he was the son the the late, Raymond L. Anderson Sr. and Mary Norma (Brown) Stafford. He married Linda L. Tucker on June 21, 1980, and she survives. Other survivors include sons, David L. Anderson of Greensburg, Raymond L. (wife, Jennifer) Anderson of North Vernon, Lance Anderson and James R. Anderson, both of Shelbyville; daughters, Mandy J. Peavler, April L. Anderson and Jennifer R. Anderson, all of Shelbyville; brother, William Stafford Jr. of Greenwood; sisters, Diane Higdon of Manilla, Norma Susan (husband Kenny) Rasdall and Beverly King, both of Shelbyville; 16 grandchildren and one great-grandchild. He was also preceded in death by his stepfather, who raised him, William "Bud" Stafford; and sisters, Ramona Zapata and Lisa Stafford. Mr. Anderson attended Manilla schools. He worked in the maintenance department of Charles Major Manor and had formerly worked for Mark Concrete. Mr. Anderson was a veteran of the Vietman War, serving in the Marines. He loved to hunt and fish. Visitation will be from 1 to 4 p.m. Wednesday, February 10, 2010 at Freeman Family Funeral Homes and Crematory, Carmony-Ewing Chapel, 819 S. Harrison St. Funeral services will be at 4 p.m. at the funeral home with Pastor Jim Fraley officiating.
