Reba E. "Gammy" Macy, 92, of Arlington passed away Tuesday, November 11, 2008, at Miller's Merry Manor in Rushville.
Born June 21, 1916, in Shelby County, she was the daughter of Joseph T. and Laura E. (Carmony) Linville.
She married Robert M. "Bapper" Macy on July 22, 1944, and he preceded her in death on July 20, 2006.
Survivors include her son, Robert J. (wife, Terri) Macy of Arlington; daughter, Margo (husband, Jim) Caudill of Shelbyville; granddaughters, Carly (husband, Keith) Moore of Fayette County,Samantha Macy of Arlington, and Christina Caudill of Shelby County; and great-grandchildren, Macy Moore and Reese Moore, both of Fayette County.
She also was preceded in death by her parents; grandson, Rob Macy; and an infant sister.
Mrs. Macy retired from teaching school in 1985. She taught at Union Township, Morristown and Arlington elementary schools for a combined 37 years.
She graduated from Manilla High School and Indiana Wesleyan College in Marion.
Mrs. Macy was a member of Little Blue River Friends Church and Rush County Retired Teachers Association.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday; and from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Little Blue River Friends Church, 5939 N. County Road 800 E, Morristown.
Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the church.
Interment will be in Arlington East Hill Cemetery.
