Rebecca Gertrude Gladson-Wade, 34, of Shelbyville passed away Friday, July 8, 2011 at Indiana University Hospital in Indianapolis.
Born December 28, 1976, in Indianapolis, she was the daughter of C.E. "Ed" and Samme Kaye (Cope) Gladson. She married Michael Wade on February 13, 2010, and he survives.
Other survivors include her father of Fairland; sister, Carla K. (husband, Isaac) Caton of Lexington, Kentucky; aunts, Sandra F. Delk of Fairland, Mildred Gladson and Madge Hensley, both of Kentucky; father and mother-in-law, Jay and Shirley Wade of Cookeville, Tennessee; nieces, Kayela Caton and Sarah Caton, both of Lexington, Kentucky; two sisters-in-law and two brothers-in-law and their families; numerous cousins and several godchildren.
She was preceded in death by her mother.
Rebecca was a lifelong Shelby County resident and graduated from Triton Central High School in 1996.
She was a member of Fairland United Methodist Church and Fairland Order of Eastern Star # 359.
Rebecca was a certified nursing assistant, having previously worked at Waldron Health and Rehab, Morristown Manor and Ashford Place.
She loved spending time with her family, friends and godchildren.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 pm, Tuesday, July 12, 2011 at Freeman Family Funeral Homes and Crematory, Carmony-Ewing Chapel, 819 S. Harrison St. in Shelbyville and from 12 noon to 1 pm, Wednesday, July 13, 2011 at Fairland United Methodist Church, 205 W. Washington St. in Fairland, Indiana.
Funeral services will be at 1 pm, Wednesday, at the church, with Pastor Susan Davis officiating.
Interment will be in Fairland Cemetery.
