Reginald Eugene “Reggie” Thomas, 68, of Bowling Green, Kentucky, formerly of Shelbyville, passed away Tuesday, April 18, 2017.
He was born July 24, 1948, in Picanue, Mississippi, the son of Marion E. and Edna P. (Linore) Thomas. He married Linda G. Havens on August 28, 1971, and she survives.
Reggie is also survived by his daughter, Lindsey G. Thomas; sons, Ty Thomas and wife, Misty, of Shelbyville, Alan Thomas of Cypress, Texas, Brad Thomas of Indianapolis, and Aaron Thomas of Bowling Green; brothers, Robert “Buddy” Thomas and wife, Patty of Indianapolis, Reed Thomas of Fairland, Doug Thomas and wife, Connie, and Kenny Thomas, both of Shelbyville; sisters, Brenda Higgins and husband, Wilbur, and Susie Sheets and Mike Hall, both of Shelbyville; seven grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Reggie graduated from Shelbyville High School in 1966, and continued his education in business management.
He was a veteran of the US Army, serving in Germany for two years during Vietnam.
Reggie was formerly a member of Grace Fellowship in Shelbyville, and had attended Houston First Church of God.
He retired as a plant supervisor in the press department of A.E. P. in 2016.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, April 22, 2017 at Freeman Family Funeral Homes and Crematory, Carmony-Ewing Chapel, 819 S. Harrison St. in Shelbyville.
Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
