Reva S. Hahn of Shelbyville, born May 16, 1929, went to the Lord on Sunday, Sept 8, 2013.
She was preceded in death by her sons Thomas, Daniel and Michael Seabolt, and her grandson Benjamin Bedel. She is survived by her faithful husband Richard Hahn, daughters Mary (husband Dale) Barnard, Jacqualine (husband Victor) Bedel, sons Steven and Andrew (wife Saori) Seabolt, 15 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, 3 great-great-grandchildren, as well as other extended family.
Raised in Kentucky during the Depression, Reva often told stories about her childhood, including the times when she would put a nickel she earned toward her father's account at the local store, instead of buying candy.
Reva's unique life story and wonderful personal character are topics too prodigious to adequately describe here, but she always kept busy, loved to plant flowers and trees, spoke her mind freely-- and if you dared to disagree with her she usually stuck out her tongue and gave you a sloppy raspberry. She was one of the most generous souls ever, and was known for her loving heart.
We wish to thank all those who cared for Reva these past months, especially those at the Morristown Manor.
She will be missed more than she would have known. We will see her again someday. We love you our little Reva, beloved wife, mother, grandma, great-grandma and friend. As she often said to others, we now say to her, "Bless your bones!" She ended her letters by drawing a smiley face and included this verse: Numbers 6:25-26: "The Lord make His face shine upon thee, and be gracious unto thee: The Lord lift up his countenance upon thee, and give thee peace." We rejoice that Reva is now in the glorious presence and peace of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
