Rhea Marie Linville, 73, of Shelbyville, passed away Saturday, May 24, 2014 at her residence.
She was born May 5, 1941, in Hancock County, the daughter of Albert and Martha (Alexander) Martin. In 1962, she married Dwain E. Linville, and he preceded her in death on April 14, 1996.
Survivors include her daughters, Brenda Shelton and husband, Jeffery of Shelbyville and Jane Lengerich and husband, Greg of Franklin; sister, Carol Reger and husband, Bob of Greensburg; brother, Carl Martin and wife, Judy of Knightstown; brother-in-law, Darrell Linville and wife, Sandra of Shelbyville; grandchildren, Tyler Shelton, Kyle Shelton, Maggie Lengerich and Ryan Lengerich; and several nieces and nephews.
She was also preceded in death by her parents.
Rhea graduated from Hancock Central High School in 1959.
She was a very active member of Little Blue River Baptist Church and Little Blue River Baptist Ladies Aid, where she held several offices. She was also a member of Country Pals Extension Homemakers Club.
Rhea formerly worked part-time at JoAnn Fabrics and Brammer and Yeend.
She loved spending time with her family and friends.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, May 27, 2014 at Freeman Family Funeral Homes and Crematory, Carmony-Ewing Chapel, 819 S. Harrison St. in Shelbyville and from 10 to 11 a.m. Wednesday, May 28, 2014 at Little Blue River Baptist Church, 3515 N. 500 E., Shelbyville.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the church, with Rev. Robert Langdon officiating.
Interment will be at Bennett Cemetery in Shelby County.
