Richard D. Foreman, Sr., 65, of Fountaintown passed away at his home, Thursday, November 27, 2008.
Born October 20, 1943, in Shelbyville, he was the son of Oscar and Florence (Ott) Foreman. He married Charlotte Holtsclaw, and she preceded him in death on September 4, 1980.
Survivors include his sons, Richard D. Foreman, Jr. of Fairland, Randy D. Foreman of Fortville and Michael L. Corley of Indianapolis; brothers, Warren Foreman of New Bern, N.C., Ronnie Foreman of Fountaintown, Frank Foreman of Bedford and Larry Foreman of Fairland; sister, Ann Black of Osgood; and grandchildren, Randy Foreman Jr., Ryan Foreman, Charlotte Foreman, Dylan Foreman, Daniel Foreman, Destiny Foreman and Lindsey Foreman.
He also was preceded in death by his parents.
Mr. Foreman previously lived in Fairland, Shelbyville and Indianapolis.
He retired in 2006 from Navistar in Indianapolis, after 30 years as a machine operator.
Mr. Foreman was a member of U.A.W. Local No. 98.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Freeman Family Funeral Homes, Carmony-Ewing Harrison Street Chapel, 819 s. Harrison St.
Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home, with Brother Boyd Warren officiating.
Burial will be in Washington Park East Cemetery in Indianapolis.
