Richard L. Hicks II

Richard L. Hicks II, 60, of Shelbyville, passed away Tuesday, October 11, 2022, at his home.

He was born February 17, 1962, in Fort Bragg, North Carolina, the son of Richard L. Hicks and Linda (Powell) Hicks Beal.  On February 17, 2006, he married Carolyn Peabody, and she survives.

In addition to Carolyn, Richard is survived by his sister, Carla Burtron of Strawtown; step-children, Stuart Rogers and wife, Megan, of San Antonio, Texas, and Stacey Cisse and husband, Mohammadou, of Indianapolis; and five step-grandchildren.

Richard was preceded in death by his parents; and step-father, Ben Beal.

He graduated in 1980 from Noblesville High School, and attended trade school.

Richard had been a truck driver.

He enjoyed playing Texas Holdem’.

Richard was also preceded in death by his beloved dog, Bubba.

Private family services will be observed.

Services have been entrusted to Freeman Family Funeral Homes and Crematory, 819 S. Harrison St. in Shelbyville.
