Richard Neil Lane, 64, of Wilmington, Ohio, passed away July 2, 2015 at home.
He was born November 2, 1950, in Franklin, Indiana, the son of William George and Margaret Marciel (Huntsman) Lane. On July 2, 1972, he married his wife of 43 years, Rosalie Ann Huhnke, and she survives.
Other survivors include his mother of Indianapolis; son, Richard Lane and wife, Becky, of Wilmington; daughter, Susan Billingsley of Wilmington; grandchildren, Quimbee Lane, Harley Lane, Izaia Billingsley, Trevor Billingsley and Taliah Billingsley; and a sister, Vicky Lane of Indianapolis.
He was preceded in death by his father; a grandson, Otis Lane; and a brother, William Lane.
Richard graduated from Triton Central High School in 1968.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force.
Richard was a member of Evangelical Methodist Church in Shelbyville and Fellowship of Praise in Clarksville, Ohio.
He and his wife, owned and operated, Avian and Exotic Labs in Wilmington, OH for the last 33 years.
He was a Christ follower, devoted husband, son and loving father, dedicated grandfather, and caring friend always willing to help anytime. He loved the Lord, gave his time selflessly to his family, and whenever possible, he enjoyed riding his Harley Davidson motorcycle.
Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday, July 9, 2015 at Evangelical Methodist Church, 267 E. Washington St. in Shelbyville.
Memorial services will be at 7 p.m. Thursday at the church, with Rev. Jim Coulston and Pastor Matt Morgan.
