Robert C. “Bob” Bable, 69, of Shelbyville, passed away, Friday, August 9, 2013, at his home.
He was born November 12, 1943, in Mt. Pleasant, Pennsylvania, the son of Arthur Woodrow and Catherine Mae (Shaw) Bable. In July of 1983, he married Bonnie Taylor, and she survives.
Other survivors include his son, John (wife, Vickie) Taylor of Shelbyville; granddaughters, Jessica (husband, Jason) Ebert, Chelsea Taylor and Lindsey Taylor; and a great-granddaughter, Ava Jean Ebert.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Richard Bable; sister, Carol Gross; and a great-grandson, Jaydon Jesse Jay Noel.
Mr. Bable was a lifelong resident of Shelbyville.
He was a U.S. Army veteran, and was stationed in Germany for two years.
Mr. Bable retired from Southwestern Consolidated Schools.
He enjoyed playing Bingo and cards, and loved spending time with his granddaughters and family.
Visitation will be from 11 am to 1 pm, Monday, August 12, 2013 at Freeman Family Funeral Homes and Crematory, Carmony-Ewing Chapel, 819 S. Harrison St.
Funeral services will be at 1 pm, Monday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Dr. Robb Barlow officiating.
Interment will be in Forest Hill Cemetery.
