Robert Franklin "Bob" Dozier

Robert Franklin "Bob" Dozier, 74, of Gwynneville passed away Wednesday, November 24, 2010. Born October 21, 1936, in Putnam County, Indiana, he was the son of Joseph and Grace (Clonc) Dozier. He married Carolyn Swartz on September 3, 1966, and she survives. Other survivors include his children, Gregory (wife, Katherine) Dozier of Noblesville, Melody Gruenert (Jay McIntosh) of Fort Wayne, Brian (wife, Raewyn) Dozier of Greenwood, Roberta (husband, Darrin) Mullinax of Morristown and Carol (husband, Darrell) Davis of Terre Haute; sisters, Katherine, Helen, Ruby, Geneva and Mary Jean; 12 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; and two brothers, Ewell and John. Mr. Dozier graduated from Carmel High School in 1956 and had resided in Gwynneville for 30 years. He retired in 1982 as a mechanic. Mr. Dozier was a member of the Ash Street Wesleyan Church in Tipton, the Morristown American Legion and the former Morristown Accelerators Car Club. He was a champion go-karter and built custom trikes and volunteered at Lincoln Park in Putnamville and the Terre Haute Action Track. Visitation will be from 2 to 4 pm Sunday, November 28, 2010 at Freeman Family Funeral Homes and Crematory, Frazier Chapel, 124 E. North St. in Morristown. Funeral services will be at 4 pm Sunday at the funeral home, with Rev. Nick Keaton officiating. Military rites will follow the service.
