Robert Lee "Bob" Everhart, 78, of Morristown passed away Friday, July 25, 2008 at Wishard Memorial Hospital.
Born April 13, 1930, in Scott County, he was the son of Virgil Lavern and Edith Katherine (Sipe) Everhart. He married Betty Eileen Wicker on February 24, 1951, and she survives.
Other survivors includer daughters, Anna Metchaner of Indianapolis, and Gail Hoffman of Finly; son, David (wife, Donna) Everhart of Morristown; sisters, Mildred Copple of Fountaintown and Sherolyn Ross of Avon; and 10 grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Wayne Everhart, Harold Everhart and Harry Everhart; and granddaughter, Amber Kay Hoffman.
Mr. Everhart moved to Shelby County in 1934.
He was a farmer for 35 years and retired from Caldwell Gravel in 1991.
Mr. Everhart was a U.S. Army veteran and served in the Korean War.
He graduated from Morristown High School in 1948.
Mr. Everhart was a member of the American Legion Post No. 102 in Morristown.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Freeman Family Funeral Homes, Frazier Chapel, 124 E. North St., Morristown, IN.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Gwen Pew officiating.
Burial will be in Asbury Cemetery in Morristown.
