Robert Taylor " Bob" Gordon

Robert Taylor "Bob" Gordon, 67 of Shelbyville passed away Friday, February 22, 2008 at Ashford Place Health Campus. Born February 14, 1941, in Shelbyville, he was the son of Howard and Flora Luella (Clements) Gordon. Survivors include his uncle and aunt, Kenneth and Sarah Clements of Wayne County; and cousin, Jan Clements of Wayne County. He was preceded in death by his parents. Mr. Gordon had been a bank teller in Indianapolis, retiring in 1987. He graduated from Shelbyville High School in 1959 and attended Purdue University. He was a long-time member of Indiana Association of Spiritualist at Camp Chesterfield, S.A.R. and Indiana Pioneers. He was a past member of Shelby County Genealogy Society and was active in genealogy research. Mr. Gordon loved music and collected old records. Graveside services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday, February 27, 2008 at Fairland Cemetery in Fairland, with the Rev. Sarah Brown officiating. Freeman Family Funeral Homes, Frazier Chapel, 124 E. North St., Morristown, IN is entrusted with the services. Memorial contributions may be made to the donor's choice of charities.
