Roberta C. "Bobbie" Wallien, 71, of Shelbyville passed away Monday, December 10, 2007, at her home.
Born November 24, 1936, in Muskegon, Michigan, she was the daughter of Richard and Marge (Anderson) Gottlieb. She married Ernest K. "Ernie" Wallien on July 31, 1959, and he preceded her in death on May 26, 2006.
Survivors include her sons, Courtenay Wallien of San Diego, California, Kevin (wife, Kim) Wallien of Zionsville and Eric (wife, Lori) Wallien of Shelbyville; daughter, Cheryl (hsuband, Siva) Pathman of Des Moines, Iowa; brother, Richard (wife, Pat) Gottlieb Jr. of Fort Lauderdale, Florida; and grandchildren, Jeffrey, Devin, Hannah, Stefani, Nicholas, Carlye and Elliott.
She also was preceded in death by her parents.
Mrs. Wallien lived in Shelbyville most of her life.
She was co-founder, with her husband, of Roberta's Inc., formerly Roberta's Knit Shop.
Mrs. Wallien graduated from Shelbyville High School in 1954 and the University of Miami in 1958, with a degree in marketing.
A gathering of friends will be from 12:30 to 1 p.m. Wednesday, December 19, 2007 at Freeman Family Funeral Homes, Carmony-Ewing Harrison Street Chapel, 819 S. Harrison St., Shelbyville, Indiana.
A memorial service will follow at 1 p.m. at the funeral home, with the Rev. Bill Horner officiating.
