Roger Lee Wenger, 34, of Shelbyville, passed away Friday, June 5, 2015 in Pendleton.
He was born April 3, 1981, in Shelbyville, the son of Roger W. and Gladys June (Brown) Wenger. He married Jessica Bozmiac, and she survives.
Roger is also survived by his parents of Shelbyville; sister, Kayla Brown and fiance’, David Burton, of Shelbyville; paternal grandmother, Dorothy Wenger of Flat Rock; niece, Jacklynn Burton of Shelbyville; aunts, Charlotte Whittest of Flat Rock, Linda Parish of Shelbyville, Rose Meadows and husband, Enos, , and Emma Owen, both of Kentucky; uncles, Clifton Wenger and wife, Phyllis, of Columbus and Monte Brown of Shelbyville; and numerous cousins in Indiana and Kentucky including Robert Erwin and wife, Stephanie, of Shelbyville.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Clifton Wenger; maternal grandparents, Mary and Robert Carrol; maternal grandfather, Ezra Brown; and uncle, Michael Brown.
Roger formerly worked at J & R Shelton Truck Wash.
He enjoyed tinkering with motorcycles and building models. He also enjoyed fishing and hunting. Roger loved to watch science fiction movies.
Visitation will be from 10 to 11:30 a.m. Thursday, June 11, 2015 at Freeman Family Funeral Homes and Crematory, Carmony-Ewing Chapel, 819 S. Harrison St. in Shelbyville.
Funeral services will be at 11:30 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
Interment will be at Flat Rock Cemetery in Flat Rock.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Roger Lee Wenger Memorial Fund, in care of the funeral home.
