Ronald Lee "Ronnie" Alexander, 63, of Fairland died Wednesday, March 14, 2007, at Major Hospital Born Sept. 4, 1943, in Shelby County, he was the son of Otis and Josephine L. (Borden) Alexander. He married Helen Louise Marsh on Nov. 27, 1969, and she survives. Other survivors include his parents of Fairland; sons, Scott Alexander of Fairland and Steve (wife, Tammy) Settles of Shelbyville; daughters, Pam (husband, Larry) Welch, Debbie (husband, Joe) Wright and Kim (husband, Brad) Bullard, all of Shelbyville, and Rhonda Jo Collins of Fairland; brothers, Bob Alexander and Maurice Alexander, both of Fairland, and Jim Alexander of Shelbyville; sister, Becky Hardin of Fairland; 12 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his brother, Teddy Ray Alexander; and infant sister, Beverly Jo Alexander. Mr. Alexander was owner and operator of C&R Construction for more than 37 years and farmed. He had attended Triton High School. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. today at Freeman Family Funeral Homes, Carmony-Ewing Broadway Chapel, 232 W. Broadway St. Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Edwin E. Mohr officiating. Burial will be in Fairland Cemetery in Fairland. Memorial contributions may be made to the Ronald Alexander Memorial Fund, in care of Freeman Family Funeral Homes, Carmony-Ewing Chapels, 819 S.
