Ronald Wayne Willey, 56, of Edinburg, passed away Tuesday, September 17, 2013 at Our Hospice of South Central Indiana in Columbus. He was born December 31, 1956, in Shelbyville, the son of Herschel H. and Mable M. (Claytor) Willey. Survivors include sons, Bradley Dale (wife, Jennifer Horning) Davis of Indianapolis and Ryan Wayne Willey of Hope; brothers, Herschel (wife, Sue) Willey of Columbus and Terry (wife, Bernie) Willey of Murietta, California; significant other, Brenda Nichols of Edinburg; grandsons, Brayden Dale Davis and Braxton Wayne Davis; sister-in-law, Sherrie Willey of Princess Lake; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; and a brother, Michael H. Willey. Ron graduated from Waldron High School in 1975. He last worked for Ditech, Inc. in Edinburgh doing construction and welding. He also leaves behind his dog, Rooter. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday, September 20, 2013 at Freeman Family Funeral Homes and Crematory, Carmony-Ewing Chapel, 819 S. Harrison St. in Shelbyville. Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, September 21, 2013 in Blue Ridge Cemetery in Shelby County. Memorial contributions may be made to Columbus Cancer Center, 2400 East 17th St., Columbus, Indiana 47201 and Our Hospice of South Central Indiana, 2626 S. 17th St., Columbus, Indiana 47201.
