Ronnie J. Patterson, 66, of Shelbyville passed away Tuesday, April 10, 2012 at Hospice Inpatient Facility in Columbus. Ronnie J. Patterson, 66, of Shelbyville, formerly of Liberty was called home by the Lord on Tuesday, April 10, 2012 at Hospice Inpatient Facility in Columbus. Born March 17, 1946, in Knox County, Kentucky, he was the son of Joe and Nannie (Evans) Patterson. He married Juanita Stephen on June 29, 1991, and she survives. Other survivors include his sons, Gerald (wife, Cathy) Patterson and Ronnie (wife, Cindy) Patterson Jr., both of Liberty; stepchildren, Tina, Randy, Bruce and Ken; brothers, Ray (wife, Elaine) Patterson, Gary (wife, Sandy) Patterson and Randall Patterson, all of Liberty; nine grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents. Mr. Patterson retired from D & M in Connersville in 1999. He was an active member of Bethel Baptist Church in Greenfield. Mr. Patterson enjoyed fishing, working on cars, mushroom hunting and working in his yard. A gathering of friends will be from 9 to 10 am, Friday, April 13, 2012 at Bethel Baptist Church, 1610 S. State St. in Greenfield. A memorial service will be conducted at 10 am, Friday at the church, with Pastor Randall Parker and Assistant Pastor Conrad Westbrook officiating.
