Rose Ellen Wilson, 84, of St. Paul, passed away Thursday, November 21, 2013 at her residence.
She was born December 12, 1928, in Waldron, the daughter of George J. and Fannie (Chappelow) Stickford. Rose Ellen married Thomas Leon Wilson on July 25, 1977, and he preceded her in death on January 22, 1995.
Mrs. Wilson is survived by her sister, Mary Catherine Poole-Taggart of Apache Junction, Arizona; nieces and nephews, Kenneth Klotzsche, James Klotzsche of Franklin, Karen Klotzsche of St. Paul, Leslie Stickford and Barbara Wooten Indiana, William Lafever, George Lafever and Paul Lafever, all of Apache Junction, Rhonda (Lafever) Lee of Truth or Consequences, New Mexico; 11 great-nieces and nephews; and 17 great-great-nieces and nephews.
She was also preceded in death by her brother, Robert Harold Stickford; and her sister, Frances Louise (Stickford) Klotzsche.
Rose Ellen graduated from Mount Auburn High School in 1946.
She retired from RCA in Indianapolis in 1987, after 38 years of service.
Mrs. Wilson was a member of the Indianapolis Women’s Bowling Association and former member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post No. 908.
Visitation will be from 11:30 am to 1:30 pm Tuesday, November 26, 2013 at Freeman Family Funeral Homes and Crematory, Carmony-Ewing Chapel, 819 S. Harrison St. in Shelbyville.
Graveside services will be at 2pm Tuesday in Van Pelt Cemetery.
