Ruby Mabel Price, 95, of Shelbyville passed away Thursday, March 24, 2011 at Major Hospital in Shelbyville.
Born September 17, 1915, in Shelby County, she was the daughter of Claude Emerson and Lottie Belle (Fair) Talbert.
Survivors include her daughters, Vickie Schmidt of Greenfield and Sarah (husband, Jay) Bushfield of Shelbyville; grandchildren, Heather (husband, Shane) Ellison of Hope, Erin (husband, Luke) Turner of Orlando, Florida, Amy Campbell of Indianapolis and Ryan (wife, Heather) Schmidt of Brownsburg; and 13 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Hazel Mahan; and brother, Ralph Talbert.
A lifelong Shelby County resident, Ms. Price graduated from Manilla High School in 1933.
She was employed as a sales clerk with the former G.C. Murphy over 40 years, retiring in 1981.
Ms. Price was a member of Little Blue River Baptist Church.
Visitation will be from 2 to 6 pm Sunday, March 27, 2011 at Freeman Family Funeral Homes and Crematory, Carmony-Ewing Chapel, 819 S. Harrison St.
Funeral services will be at 2 pm Monday, March 28, 2011 at the funeral home, with Rev. Bob Langdon officiating.
Interment will be in Bennett Cemetery.
