Ryan Michael Fischer, 23, of Waldron died Monday, August 25, 2008 at the MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, Texas.
Born December 8, 1984 in Indianapolis, Indiana, Ryan is the son of William and Connie (Kelley) Fischer.
Other survivors include his sister, Andrea (Fischer) Strehle (husband, Andrew) of Indianapolis; niece, Lauren E. Strehle of Indianapolis; grandparents Gaylord and Ruth McVey of Shelbyville, and Harold and Alice Kelley of Fort Wayne, and best friend and true love Sirena L. Frazee of Shelbyville.
Ryan graduated in 2003 from Waldron Jr./Sr. High School. Ryan's love of cars inspired him to attend Wyotech College in Blairsville, Pennsylvania. There he received an associate's degree in auto body repair. Following graduation, Ryan became a skilled painter at Enneking Auto Body in Greensburg, Indiana.
Ryan loved to paint, rebuild and modify vehicles. He took special interest in his Ford King Ranch pick-up and in four-wheeling with his friends and family. Ryan was a member of the NRA. An inspiration to all who knew him, he continously raised awareness and put forth generous efforts to combat cancers of all kinds. In sum, he loved life.
Ryan was a member of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church.
Visitation will be Sunday, August 31 from 3 to 8 pm at Freeman Family Funeral Homes, Carmony-Ewing Harrison Street Chapel, 819 S. Harrison St., Shelbyville, IN, with rosary at 2:30 pm.
Funeral services will be at 10 am at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, 4218 E. Michigan Road, Shelbyville, IN on Monday, September 1, 2008 with Father Paul Landwerlin officiating.
Burial will be in the St. Vincent de Paul Cemetery.
