Samuel H. PUrvis, 40, of Fairland passed away Tuesday, February 5, 2008, at his home.
Born April 26, 1967, in Indianapolis, he was the son of Bruce Wayne and Sandra F. (Cope) Delk.
Survivors include his mother of Fairland; sister, Sameia (husband, Jeff) Calhoun of Indianapolis; brother Jeff (wife, Tracy) Delk of Pleasant View; four nephews; one niece; aunt, Samme (husband, Ed) Gladson of Fairland and lifetime friends, Janice Davis and Cora Goodrich.
He was preceded in death by his father.
Mr. Purvis was a computer network trainer and taught Microsoft Networking.
He was a U.S. Army veteran.
Mr. Purvis graduated from Triton High School in 1986 and Vincennes University in 2000.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Freeman Family Funeral Homes, Carmony-EWing Harrison Street Chapel, 819 S. Harrison St.
Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Friday at the funeral home, with the Revs. Jeff Zirkle and Susan Davis officiating. Military graveside services will be conducted by the Local Military Committee.
Interment will bein Fairland Cemetery.
