Sandra Kay Grow, 58, of Shelbyville passed away Monday, March 24, 2008 at her residence.
Born February 19, 1950, in Shelbyville, she was the daughter of Bernard Arthur and Norma June (Jones) Thurston. She married Charles Grow on December 1, 1969, and he survives.
Other survivors include her mother of Shelbyville; daughters, Tammy (husband, Kenneth) DePotty and Christina Rhoades, both of Shelbyville; and grandchildren, Kayla Williams, Aaron DePotty, Michael DePotty, Nicholas DePotty, Alexander Rhoades and Angelina Rhoades.
She was preceded in death by her father and brother, Dennis Wray Thurston.
Mrs. Grow lived in Largo, Florida until moving to Shelbyville three years ago.
She was a hairdresser.
Mrs. Grow graduated from Largo High School in 1968, and then attended beauty school.
She was a former member of Beacon Baptist Church.
Mrs. Grow loved camping, boating and going to the beach and her grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursday at Freeman Family Funeral Homes, Carmony-Ewing Harrison Street Chapel, 819 S. Harrison St.
Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Dick Grow officiating.
Interment will be in VanPelt Cemetery in Shelby County.
