Sandra Kay Long

Sandra Kay Long, 73, of Fairland, passed away Friday, January 8, 2016 at Heritage House of Shelbyville. She was born July 4, 1942, in Muncie, the daughter of Otto H. Gilkison and Carrie (Smith) King. Sandra is survived by her daughter, Paula Perry and husband, Dennis, and their family of Clearfield, Kentucky. She was preceded in death by her parents; and a daughter, Cheryl. Sandra was a member of House of Prayer in Indianapolis. She loved to play the piano and sing. Sandra formerly worked for the Indianapolis Star. Services were entrusted to Freeman Family Funeral Homes and Crematory, 819 S. Harrison St. in Shelbyville.
