Sarah Louise Stader, 83, of Indianapolis, formerly of Shelbyville, passed away Tuesday, August 7, 2012 at Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis.
Born February 8, 1929 in Shelbyville, she was the daughter of Wesley and Freida (Werner) Polston. She married Charles E. Stader on July 24, 1953, and he preceded her in death on February 2, 1989.
Survivors include her sons, Charles (wife, Wilma “Angel”) Early of Shelbyville and Larry Early of Indianapolis; daughter, Brenda (husband, Greg) Whiteford of Waldron; grandchildren, Tammy, Michelle, Charlie, Samantha, Larry, Tommy and Kimmy; 30 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by her parents; brother, John Polston and sister, Annabelle Polston.
Mrs. Stader had resided in Indianapolis for the past 20 years, prior to living in Shelbyville.
She enjoyed playing bingo on the computer and gardening.
Mrs. Stader was a homemaker and loved her children and grandchildren.
She also leaves behind her dog, Cookie.
Visitation will be Saturday, August 11, 2012 from 10 am to noon at Freeman Family Funeral Homes and Crematory, Carmony-Ewing Chapel, 819 S. Harrison St.
Funeral services will be at 12 noon Saturday at the funeral home, with Rev. Dennis Hirschauer officiating.
Interment will be in Miller Cemetery.
