Sharon A. McDaniel, 74, of Waldron, passed away Tuesday, February 28, 2017 at Hancock Regional Hospital Hospice in Greenfield.
She was born February 28, 1943, in Shelbyville, the daughter of Fred McDaniel and Edna M. (Dixon) McDaniel Yeley. She married Alan McDaniel on May 4, 2001, and he survives.
Sharon is also survived by her mother of Shelbyville; sons, Michael Abel of New Castle, Brian Abel and Adam Elliott, both of Shelbyville; daughter, Terri (Abel) Bodine of Shelbyville; sisters, June K. (McDaniel) Hodge of Southport, and Edna M. (McDaniel) Sturgill and husband Charles, of Waldron; 11 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her father; and daughter, Tonia Renee Abel.
Sharon graduated from Morristown High School in 1960.
She was formerly a caregiver at McKay Manor.
Sharon enjoyed knitting, crocheting and gardening. She was an artist and loved to paint.
She liked to travel, especially when going to Corvette shows.
Visitation will be from 3 to 5 p.m. Saturday, March 4, 2017 at Freeman Family Funeral Homes and Crematory, Carmony-Ewing Chapel, 819 S. Harrison St. in Shelbyville.
Funeral services will be at 5 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home, with Rev. Bill Horner officiating.
