Sharon D. Garrett, 70, of Columbus, formerly of Shelbyville, passed away Tuesday, July 5, 2016 at her residence.
She was born October 10, 1945, in Shelbyville, the daughter of Gerald and Thelma (Poe) Williams. She married Tilden Garrett on October 12, 1978, and he survives.
Sharon is also survived by her daughters, Regina Griffith and Kim Foster, both of Columbus; a son, Kevin Griffith and wife, Staci, of Columbus; sister, Nancy LeBrun and husband, Jerry, of Linton; grandchildren, Alexandrea, Danielle and Noah; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Agnes Garrett and Ada Crim; and brothers, Norman Williams and Joe Williams.
Sharon was a homemaker, loving wife, and devoted mother and grandmother.
She enjoyed crafting, reading and working jigsaw and word search puzzles.
Visitation will be from 11 am to 1 pm, Wednesday, July 13, 2016 at Freeman Family Funeral Homes and Crematory, Carmony-Ewing Chapel, 819 S. Harrison St. in Shelbyville.
Services will be at 1 pm Wednesday at the funeral home.
Interment will be at Forest Hill Cemetery in Shelbyville.
