Sharon Jean Dillow, 71, of Indianapolis, passed away Wednesday, December 17, 2014 at her residence.
She was born May 27, 1943, in Shelbyville, the daughter of Robert Morris and Wilma Jean (McDonald) Bastin.
Sharon is survived by her son, Paul Robert “Robbie” Dillow and wife, Erin, of Greenfield; daughters, Shannon Marie Frederick and April Dawn Padgett and husband, Tom, both of Indianapolis; sisters, Lisa Lay and husband, Allen, of Shelbyville and Jane Snellenberger and husband, Dan, of Cloverdale; grandchildren, Emily Dillow, Jayme Frederick and Alexis Padgett; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Sharon graduated from Shelbyville High School in 1961.
She retired from the operations office at the US Postal Service, with over 30 years of service in 2008.
Sharon enjoyed reading and music.
A gathering of friends will be from noon to 1 p.m. Saturday, December 20, 2014 at Freeman Family Funeral Homes and Crematory, Carmony-Ewing Chapel, 819 S. Harrison St. in Shelbyville.
A memorial service will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
Inurnment will be at Forest Hill Cemetery in Shelbyville.
