Sidney Bruce Morse, 77, of Shelbyville, passed away Friday, May 2, 2014 at Our Hospice of South Central Indiana in Columbus.
He was born November 2, 1936, in Cambridge City, the son of Floyd and Lena (Smith) Morse.
Survivors include his sons, Thomas Morse and Kenneth Morse, both of Shelbyville, Robert Morse of Cambridge City; daughter, Rebecca Quinn of Jacksonville, Florida; sisters, Jane Turner and Alice Moore, both of Pershing; granddaughter, Blasia Gross; great-grandson, Aiden Collins; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and several brothers and sisters.
Sidney graduated from Lincoln High School in Cambridge City in 1954.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force, serving from 1954 to 1964.
Sidney was a member of the American Legion and the Veterans of Foreign Wars.
He enjoyed riding his scooter and going to yard sales.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m Friday, May 9, 2014 at Freeman Family Funeral Homes and Crematory, Carmony-Ewing Chapel, 819 S. Harrison St. in Shelbyville.
Funeral services will be at 12 p.m. Friday at the funeral home, with Rev. Harvey Weaver officiating.
Interment will be at Miller Cemetery, with military graveside rites by the local military committee.
